Transformer station

The central transformer station connects the wind power plant to the national power grid and converts the voltage created by the generators into medium or high voltage so that the current can be fed into the grid reliably and with little loss. It also offers protective mechanisms to prevent power surges and other malfunctions.

Temperature and humidity protection

Reliable temperature and humidity monitoring is essential for safety in the transformer station and for protection against corrosion damage caused by humidity deposits. This is how thermal sensors from JUMO monitor the temperature of the cooling and insulating transformer oil. The humidity in the interior of the substation is controlled by hygrostats.
